Welcome to the Tawbah Islamic Center, located in Des Moines, IA. The mosque is a vibrant place where community members gather daily, whether for performing their daily prayers or attending Quran classes on the weekends.
Our mosque is a sanctuary for all, offering a place for spiritual growth, learning, and community building. We invite you to join us in worship, participate in our programs, and contribute to our vibrant community. Together, we can make a positive impact in Iowa and beyond.

Front Entrance and Women's Entrance
This is the front of the building, which also serves as the entrance for women.
Men's Entrance and Parking Area
The men enter through a separate entrance on the left side of the building. This area also shows the parking lot, leading directly to the men's prayer area.
Men’s Prayer Area
This is the men's prayer area, where congregational prayers are held.
Minbar
Here is a close-up of the Minbar, where the imam leads prayers and delivers khutbahs (sermons).
Women’s Prayer Area
This is the women’s prayer area, which includes a storage closet and a shelf for kitabs and other books.
Women’s Asr Prayer and Halaqah
This image shows the women praying Asr before their halaqah (study circle).
Bathrooms and Wudu Areas
The bathrooms for both men and women are identical, each featuring three stalls and a wudu (ablution) area.
Water Fountain
Just outside the bathrooms, there is a water fountain equipped with a bottle filler.
Youth Activity Area
This is where the youth play soccer and other games between prayer times. They come here daily, and it is truly a blessing to see the youth active in the masjid every day, Alhamdulillah.
